1 Chichicastenango Market
This vibrant market is one of the best places to visit in Guatemala, as it offers a glimpse into traditional Mayan culture. You can find handmade goods, colorful textiles, and delicious local cuisine. The market comes to life on Thursdays and Sundays. Any shuttle or tour guide will take you there for the day.
2 Tikal
This ancient Mayan city dates back more than 2,000 years and is one of the most breathtaking archaeological sites in Guatemala. Wander through the ruins of this once-thriving city and explore its many temples. Wherever you are in Guatemala during your travels, make sure to take a trip to this amazing spot.
3 Antigua
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most popular places to visit in Guatemala. Take a stroll through its cobblestone streets, admire the stunning colonial architecture, or take part in one of the local festivals. And you can’t leave Antigua without walking up to Cerro de la Cruz for the most breathtaking view ever.
4 Lake Atitlan
